I'm Lia. I spent more than ten years in lean roles on Asian factory floors, including a factory with about 20,000 people. In kaizen, i often found that process cycle time only without motion task breakdown will make us blurry about how many value added we really have.
Every kaizen review would means time change to rebuilding the chart. You change one task time, and move it to the other people table, change the stacked bars, evaluate takt line, and the before/after comparison all need redoing by manual. So the study gets done once, and the line drifts afterward.
This is the tool I wanted then: quick to use, honest about what is over takt, and easy to put in front of a manager.
Timing from video should not mean a stopwatch.
